X-rays of metatarsal stress fracture

There is a stress fracture of the third metatarsal bone. It occurred
at the distal (far) end of the metatarsal shaft. X-rays were
exposed about one month after the pain began. Two different views of the
same site are shown. |

This x-ray is also of a third metatarsal stress fracture. Note that it
occurred at the mid-shaft of the bone. |
